November 11th, 2009My grandad is currently taking out a reverse mortgage on the property he has owned for 40 years. I must admit, at first I was quite worried as it is a very serious product with serious consequences if not thought through properly. I trust my grandad 100% to make the right decision and so the whole family have supported him on this venture. It turns out the reverse mortgage company have been quite good to him, treating it as a delicate and sensitive issue – much more than it actually is. We as a family don’t have the cash to support his old age and retirement – we don’t mind foregoing any inheritance as he needs the money and we are sad that we can’t help him. As long as you don’t mind leaving a partial inheritance, a reverse mortgage can be a sensible way to tap into the equity in your home and finance your retirement.

October 21st, 2009I’m a young, up and coming writer living in NYC and I’m just trying to make sense of the world. There are a number of people out there intent on ruining things for everyone and this I can’t understand. Do they enjoy war? Or is their cause so dear to them that they will fight a battle with a 0.001% chance of winning, on the off chance that they won’t die before they live to see the rewards. What do these overtly religious characters who live off the texts of the scriptures think about last night’s meteoroid shower? What do they think of the new discovery of exoplanets not far from our solar system (galactically speaking of course)?
This place that we live in is hard to make sense of – that is for sure.
Turbine Legend’s New Face

It is a medium for me to talk about anything that comes into my head and keep you updated with all the latest news and absurdities going on in the world.
